Site Update Beginning
August 3rd, 2006 | by Aldacron |The site update is about to begin. Step one involves uploading the latest version of Wordpress and overwriting the existing files. It will take a few minutes, but should be transparent to anyone visiting the site at the time. I don’t get very many visitors at this time of day, so no biggie.
Step two is where things can get screwy. I’ll be uploading a new theme and switching to it shortly after. I’m tired of looking at the blue and white thing going on now, so the new one has a very different color scheme. It also gives me more screen real estate to do fun things like bombard you with AdSense ads. I’ve already managed to bomb three local copies while toying with the layout. The version I’m uploading has few modifications from the original and is working well locally. My fingers are crossed that it goes smoothly here as well. If not, I’ll revert to the old one.
