Anders has released a new version of wxD, his D binding to wxWidgets. This project is proving to be the most consistently developed GUI project in the D community. I’ve not yet used it as I’ve had no need for a GUI in a D app, but if you do need a GUI toolkit this is the one that should probably be the most prominent on your radar. The others that I know of have stagnated. Though, there is something else coming down the pipe (a D port of FLTK). But that’s not yet ready for prime time.

The latest DMD is a bugfix release. Pure speculation on my part, but I smell a 1.0 release in the near future.

I can’t keep up with it anymore just through moderation. Because this filter is supposed to be really effective, I’ve turned off moderation entirely. Comments will now be published as soon as you post them. If spam starts slipping through the filter, though, I’ll turn moderation back on.

There was a glitch with the configuration file - I forgot to change it from my local copy settings to the live version settings. That resulted in a database connection error, of course. Other than that, things seem to have gone okay. The DB updated successfully once I corrected the config. Everything else looks in order. If you have any problems accessing the site, please do tell. If you have any complaints about the new layout, please don’t
