I managed to overlook this announcement — Chris Miller released a new version of Entice Designer a couple of days ago. A very interesting tidbit from the announcement: he says that the project is going to morph into more than just a GUI designer. It seems he has plans to turn the software into an IDE. I’ll admit, I’ve not used Entice or his DFL, but my curiosity is most certainly piqued.

Gregor has been pumping out updates to DSSS/Rebuild so frequently that I haven’t been able to keep up. It seems the recent spate of updates is going to slow down with the latest. There have been three updates since my last post on the topic. So if you haven’t been keeping up, go see the DSSS and Rebuild pages.

Walter has been playing Bug Stomp recently. The result is the shiny, new DMD 1.013. If you have been having issues with recent releases and found yourself reverting to a pre-1.0 compiler, your problems will likely have gone away with this release.

Tango inches closer to a final release with version 0.97 RC 1. In addition to several other bug fixes and changes, Tango now bundles DMD in its distribution. For those who don’t want the bundled DMD, it appears that your options are to get the source-only download or pull down the trunk.

- Rebuild: Made (independent) installation a bit more configurable.

- Added –doc option, to automatically generate documentation
for all [source]libraries.
