DMD 1.016 and DMD 2.000 Alpha
June 18th, 2007 | by Aldacron |Walter has released DMD 1.016, which essentially is a primer for D 2.0. The only change made was that aliases were added for string, wstring, and dstring (and, apparently, some license issues were straightened out).
The big news, however, is the first release of the 2.0 series, DMD 2.000 alpha. This release is intended for people to try out the new const/final/invariant stuff. Remember, this is an alpha and the 2.0 series has a lot of evolution ahead of it. You should be using the 1.0 series for production code.
