I briefly considered that. But the reason I don't clip them, and never have, is because I find it annoying myself when feeds to which I subscribe do so. I prefer to read the entire post in my feed reader. I know bloggers and blog readers have mixed opinions on this, though.

Now that planet has come along, it changes the landscape a bit. But I don't want to clip my entire feed just for planet. I don't mind so much if I lose a bit of traffic as a result. As for taking up space, most of my posts are quite short. Only the Q&As are long.

Now, if there were a way to just clip the feed for planet only, that would be a worthwhile option. Then again, for the Q&As, I guess I could also just add a 'more' tag to the post itself. That would clip it in the feed as well, right? I'll try it with an edit and see what happens.

OT: miller[] suggests that you make the RSS feed clip your posts, so they A) don't use up all the space on planet.d B) you don't lose traffic since people will have to click the link to this entry
